Been gone for a minute, but now I'm back. Lol but in all seriousness I'm thrilled to have launched my latest blog Just Ask MisszMocha. The King is Home

South side's very own king better known as T.I is home, after serving time for illegal gun charges he has spent a reduced year sentence in prison. He has released personal statements regarding his experience via multple interviews on radio stations. T.I talks about his plans for the future and the anticipation of his new album "King Uncaged" which according to his website will be released August 17, 2010. T.I touches the subject regarding his fiance Tiny but wishes to keep his relationship with her limited to the public. I'm sure his fans are excited to see him home and back on the grind. Get Your Priorities in Check!!

And I am completely directing this to myself before I begin to direct it to my audience. Lately I've been slacking heavily and I have become quite disastisfied with myself. Once again I found myself involved with some one completely wrong for me, and I started to lower the bar and the standards I had set for myself. Besides the aggervation and difficulty that stirred from that situation, problems with my car also contributed to me having to drop TWO classes. I feel myself gaining some weight and I'm just becomming so lazy and even more unhappy so I stop and ask myself : What the hell are you doing? It's like I started to lose love for myself which completely is not like me. So once I was able to admit my flaws I now realize that I can slowly begin to work on my weak areas and perhaps pick up my slack. Thats why this summer I will be taking two classes while I work. I am also ready to get back to the gym and I even have a committed partner to help me with my progress. I believe that so many people lose hope when things are not going in their favor, but sometimes in order to prosper you must get your priorities in check. You can't fix all of your problems overnight. Once you accept that fact you must begin to list all the things you want to change or fix in your life. Once you do that you can begin to work on each problem one by one. Befored you know it you'll find yourself working better and perhaps creating a routine that you are comfortable and satisfied with. Of course I get discouraged with this whole college thing but I'm not going to just give up. My car is rut and I need a new one immediately. I just have to work and save and eventually I will be able to check these off my priority list. I mean I still have some other areas in my life that need work but step by step everything will come together.

Healthcare Reform

On Tuesday, March 23, 2010 The Health Care Reform Bill was passed by the senate into a law. President Barack Obama has already signed the bill and it is expected to go into effect within the next few years. Here are some of the things you should know about the bill:

Coverage:

Would expand coverage to 32 million Americans who are currently uninsured.
Health Insurance Exchanges:

The uninsured and self-employed would be able to purchase insurance through state-based exchanges with subsidies available to individuals and families with income between the 133 percent and 400 percent of poverty level.
Separate exchanges would be created for small businesses to purchase coverage -- effective 2014.
Funding available to states to establish exchanges within one year of enactment and until January 1, 2015.
Subsidies:

Individuals and families who make between 100 percent - 400 percent of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) and want to purchase their own health insurance on an exchange are eligible for subsidies. They cannot be eligible for Medicare, Medicaid and cannot be covered by an employer. Eligible buyers receive premium credits and there is a cap for how much they have to contribute to their premiums on a sliding scale.

Paying for the Plan:

Medicare Payroll tax on investment income -- Starting in 2012, the Medicare Payroll Tax will be expanded to include unearned income. That will be a 3.8 percent tax on investment income for families making more than $250,000 per year ($200,000 for individuals).
Excise Tax -- Beginning in 2018, insurance companies will pay a 40 percent excise tax on so-called "Cadillac" high-end insurance plans worth over $27,500 for families ($10,200 for individuals). Dental and vision plans are exempt and will not be counted in the total cost of a family's plan.
Tanning Tax -- 10 percent excise tax on indoor tanning services.

Medicare:

Closes the Medicare prescription drug "donut hole" by 2020. Seniors who hit the donut hole by 2010 will receive a $250 rebate.

Beginning in 2011, seniors in the gap will receive a 50 percent discount on brand name drugs. The bill also includes $500 billion in Medicare cuts over the next decade.
Medicaid:

Expands Medicaid to include 133 percent of federal poverty level which is $29,327 for a family of four.

Requires states to expand Medicaid to include childless adults starting in 2014.

Federal Government pays 100 percent of costs for covering newly eligible individuals through 2016.

Illegal immigrants are not eligible for Medicaid.
Insurance Reforms:

Six months after enactment, insurance companies could no longer denying children coverage based on a preexisting condition.

Starting in 2014, insurance companies cannot deny coverage to anyone with preexisting conditions.

Insurance companies must allow children to stay on their parent's insurance plans until age 26th.
Abortion:

The bill segregates private insurance premium funds from taxpayer funds. Individuals would have to pay for abortion coverage by making two separate payments, private funds would have to be kept in a separate account from federal and taxpayer funds.
No health care plan would be required to offer abortion coverage. States could pass legislation choosing to opt out of offering abortion coverage through the exchange.
**Separately, anti-abortion Democrats worked out language with the White House on an executive order that would state that no federal funds can be used to pay for abortions except in the case of rape, incest or health of the mother. (Read more here)



Individual Mandate:

In 2014, everyone must purchase health insurance or face a $695 annual fine. There are some exceptions for low-income people.
Employer Mandate:

Technically, there is no employer mandate. Employers with more than 50 employees must provide health insurance or pay a fine of $2000 per worker each year if any worker receives federal subsidies to purchase health insurance. Fines applied to entire number of employees minus some allowances.
Immigration:

Illegal immigrants will not be allowed to buy health insurance in the exchanges -- even if they pay completely with their own money

Of course it is to early to decide how effective the bill will be to this country. Besides the dispute and repeal rage as well, I believe the only thing we can do is sit back and see what happens.

My Addicition II

So the newest sensation sweeping my thoughts and my dreams would have to be this guy. His name is Adam Rodriguez. Some of you may recognize him as the CSI Detective Eric Delko, but I never knew of his existence until Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself. The Puerto Rican and Cuban hottie plays Sandino Ramirez, a homeless immigrant who comes to America to make a better living. He stumbles across a Pastor who had done some missionary work in his country years back, who helps him find shelter in the home of April (Taraji P. Henson). Between repairing the house, taking care of her nieces and nephews and overseeing the well-being of everyone, he exemplifies the man in any woman's dreams. He comes out on top in the end of the movie proving that hard work, love, and kindness are the key components to happiness. I don't want to spoil it for the people who haven't seen it yet but LADIES!!! Make sure you do!! He is so sexy; or handsome should I say and very modest. I'm styll searching for mine but until then my dreams of this guy will do,Ryan's got the boot, Adam Rodriguez is my newest and latest addiction<3

Watch Out for the Big Girl!!

Watch out for the big girl!! Once again setting the standards that women of all shapes and sizes can get it too, Monique won her first Oscar award yesterday for the best supporting actress in the movie Precious. First J. Hudson now Monique!! Depicting the role of a drug addict, and that of incest and parent misconduct Monique received a lot of criticism for this role. However I think she addressed it professionally and quite classy in her acceptance speech. I think she is such a beautiful and excellent icon for women of all shapes and sizes. Exemplifying that we can be heavy and beautiful, that we can apply ourselves and get fit, that we can be just as talented and successful as these other women. Everytime you think she's done she comes back with another suprise blowing us away. That's what I love about Monique the most<3

Money To Blow

Even though I don't I sure as hell act like I do. However I am detirmined to start spending and managing my money more differently. Around my way once people get a job they start buying expensive things and flaunting it. It took for a message my pastor was relaying for me to realize how twisted this was. First off NO ONE has money to blow. No matter how bitter I may sound this is just a mere fact. America is over a trillion dollars in debt so no matter how rich you think you are, if you're living in this country the government will always have ties over your money. Secondly if you are financially advanced, are you using your money morally correct? The bible states: what profits a man to gain the whole world, and lose his soul? ( Mark 8:36 )Which simply means what is the purpose of becomming so wealthy, when in the end you will surely die and no longer be able to enjoy these riches. After dwelling on this thesis I decided to change my lifestyle around, and renovate my motives in life. So many people get caught up in the "Get Rich or Die Trying" set of mind that they forget the true purpose of life. Money is NOT everything and some of the richest people are never even really happy. I'm not saying that you should not aspire to become wealthy or that being broke is fun, but I do believe there is a thin line between happiness and wealthiness and that people often get them confused. Would you rather be rich and ill, or broke and healthy? I don't know about you but I'd be a pennyless bumb anyday before an illness could claim my life. Even these rappers. Listen to a song and all they rap about is how rich they are! We make it worse running to the stores buying their albums and concert tickets only to hear them brag some more! Thats why I'm detirmined to revaluate my finances before I lose myself.Instead of going to the mall and clubs each weekend with my paychecks I'm gonna start investing in a 401 K, and saving towards my future. This Bastard!!

If you recall a few posts ago I wrote about my Valentine's Day, and how it was such wonderful time. Well that little bastard ripped up my gift, sent it to my "friend" and even messaged me the picture. My first thoughts were to raise hell and throw his business out and just be pure evil, but then my sanity sunk in. He wasn't my BOYFRIEND but my EX for a reason. Furthermore I had no business even giving him the time or day again. God made me realize that I graduated High School and overcame all of that drama for a REASON. And at that moment, I felt so much better. I found my happiness without him a long time ago. Now I don't even know the real reason why I'm even posting this, maybe I'm just venting, but I will tell any female reading this who's been in this similar predicament: Never Turn Back. No matter how different they swear they are, or claim to be. Think of the 90 to 10 % rule. (I'm just talking but listen lol) There is a 90% chance that your ex will develop the habits that you left him because of. And the 10% is for the very few who actually don't. Turning back is hard and when you fall repetitious to the constant "I'm done with him" phrase to the same friends, not only do they stop believing you, but eventually you stop believing YOURSELF!! I found myself without his love so pushing him away was too easy. When you find your true purpose in life, and can cherish your worth, you too will then understand. Mocha_

Did You Just Call Me A Bitch??

As always, surfing the web and stumbled upon this video. Meachy who has been on youtube for quite some time threw us some food for thought as she bodly addressed the misconception of females referring to other females as "bitches". I think we are all guilty of doing it, and probably haven't found it personally offensive. However, this actually made me realize how inappropriate the word was. I tend to swear and have gotten comfortably used to vulgar words but in all reality it is not acceptable or the the least bit attractive. You won't catch me using this word anymore or swearing all together. She has such a unique and bubbly personality and can teach you a thing or two if you ever need wisdom or insight with an exciting twist.

Valentines Day

Valentines Day this year for was quite fulfilled with happiness and indeed lots of love. Although the circumstances were pretty controversal, I still went along with it and ended up very satisfied. My ex-boyfriend was my valentine which had shocked me from the very moment he had asked me. As you may recall from previous posts him and I had had our shares of ups and downs, and I had swore I was too done with him. But if you are truly familiar with the meaning of love then you'd understand how that goes, and you'd even accept the fact that I'm not going to explain how it is either. (Well not in this post) Considering the fact that I had been with him for quite some time picking out a suitable gift for him was too easy. (Apparently the same for him too) I got him a giant sized card, a bag filled with his favorite candies, and 2 pairs of American Eagle boxers which he totally loved. His gift as I'm sure you have probably detirmined from the pictures was soo cute. And it was exactly what I had wanted too. The Victoria Secret Very Sexy Collection featuring two of the sprays, body oil, lotion, and the candle. And a box of Godiva chocolates to top it off. It was lovely and the chocolates were bangin! Lol he took me out to dinner and I was truly satisfied with everything he had done for me. I see him changing but obviously that doesn't mean what some of you are assuming. Just two people who went through a lot together celebrating the love they had. It was a nice experience for once and saved me from the "valentine's is overrated" cliche. I would be lying if I said I didn't love him.

How I Feel....

So I'm sitting here surfing through youtube and I stumble across this video. It depicts exactly how I'm feeling because it seems like everytime I meet a new guy and invest anytime into him, I always end up feeling like this. I think that I will no longer allow myself to be vulnerable in these situations because it only leaves me disappointed. If a guy wants anything to do with me, he's going to have to prove it. And if he doesn't love me by then,,he probably never will<|3

This Phone...

Is the light of my life!!! I joined sprint last year in December and started off with the Samsung Instinct. It wasn't the best phone in the world but hey, it was my first official contract so I was satisfied. After a long year with that phone I decided to step it up. I had the longest and hardest debate over this phone, (the palm pre) or the blackberry tour. I never cared for the blackberry but it seemed to be the it phone to have. It wasn't til a few times of trying it out that I had come to my decision, and boy am I glad. It is half touch and has a keyboard so it compromises both of my needs. It has decent facebook,myspace and twitter apps. I purchased the charging dock which only increases the love I have for this phone. The fact that not too many people have it makes it that more exclusive. Love it, Love it, Love it, if your considering switching to sprint and looking for something sleek and unique,, got for it !!

I Hate the Snow

So here I am stuck in the house because it decided to snow twelve and then some inches in Jersey. Whats even worst is that I missed out on a fulltime shift at my job because I obviously can't drive my little putt putt in that mess. So with that being said, I'm sitting here bored out my entire mind and all these thoughts come running through my head. Today was supposed to be my cousin's 25th birthday party at Delta's but now he's rescheduled it for the 20th. Hopefully by then my hair will be on point. I won't even lie what sucks the most about this day would probably have to be the fact that I'm home and not with any of my friends. I mean I have the hottest phone, my laptop via internet with most sufficient ways of communication but it's nothing like crashing at a friends or cuddling with that special some one. I think next time they start speculating about snowstorms to come,,I will indeed better prepare myself.

GUESS WHO'S BACK !?!

Okay needless to say I went on the longest hiatus ever, due to an excess amount of college work, stress, and other situations. I just got lazy and blogging became one of the last things on my "to do list" at the time. However I'm back and totally ready to give this blogging thing another shot. I brought the year 2010 in with a lot of baggage from 2009 and I'm finally admitting this and fully aware of it. However I am detimined to make some changes that will put me on the path to a better year of success. With that being said I hope to obtain a higher amount of readers and open new doors for myself. Aside from the graphics a new change I made to my blog was it's title. I wanted to launch a new bookmark that would display my maturity and make my blog much more personal and unlimited. I fell upon infinite thoughts because infinite varies in definition meaning immeasurably, exceedingly great;unlimited or unmeasurable in content or space; unbounded.
