So yesterday (August 29th 2009) Would have been the date that Pop Legend Michael Jackson celebrated his 51st birthday. So you know you tune into the radio to hear all his jams playing, all his videos on the music station and I am overcome by this uncomfortable feeling. Michael Jackson is really gone. And its something that could happen to anyone but Michael had a way of making us believe he was immortal. I became a die hard Michael Jackson fan when I was 12 years old. I remember watching his documentaries and listening to his music and everything. Songs he had made before I was even born but yet something about him just kept me captivated. Headlining on the news in other countries as well as seeing all the pandemonium he created was truly outstanding. I remember promising myself that I would see him one day, that my life will be a little more special that one day I met Michael Jackson. However on June 25th it all changed. I remember finding out through a text message and just not believing it, until the news confirmed it. Watching millions of his fans and when it finally hit me I just broke down into tears. And to truly comprehend how serious this meant one didn't have to be a die hard MJ fan. Even if you appreciated his music his death touched a little spot in your heart. And its not like the media makes things any better. The man is dead and they still find more garbage to throw on his name. They humiliated his children, I mean do they even deserve this, can't they mourn over their father in peace? Its so sickening I don't even feed into it no more. So yesterday as I was listening to Never Can Say Goodbye, I decided that I wouldn't. Instead I would appreciate the legacy he has left behind through his talent and his music. Words will never express the pain we felt on June 25th, I love you Michael, and I guarantee you he'll never be forgotten. So all the MJ haters, get used to it.

Hawtho[RN]e
So is it me or does anyone have Hawthorne fever as well? Jada Pinkett Smith stars in TNT's new series titled Hawthorne. Upon previews I knew it was a show I was going to have to tune in for. And boy was I right. Jada plays Christina Hawthorne, a single mother and a Chief Nursing Officer at Richmond Trinity Hospital in North Carolina. She definately depicts the role of a caretaker who makes her career her life's work. Also a single mother who's husband died from an illness in the same facility in which she works she juggles a lot on her plate. I could go on and on about the episodes but you should probably watch them for yourself. Jada is immaculent in this series, I can't wait until the next series airs.
*Tune in to TNT next tuesday on August 18th for the season finale. I'm betting they saved the best for last =)

LiGHTS !! SOMEBODY GETTING FIRED_ HEY HEY!!
Okay Okay I know you're probably thinking "Mocha,, you're entirely too late" but only because I started blogging late this summer. lol But I was watching Brian (Bee318ti) on youtube and he he was talking about Beyonce's performance in Ahoy Rotterdam on February 2, 2009. Apparently the lighting crew had been off from what they were supposed be doing from previous rehearsals, and during the song "DIVA" Beyonce shouts out : "LiGHTS !! SOMEBODY'S GETTiNG FiRED!! HEY HEY!! It was priceless absolutely priceless. Then Brian did a follow up on youtube about it and had me in more laughter. So now I've been going around all day saying it. Thanks a lot B. Gotta love it =)

LMAO THiS GUY ROCKS
There is no denying that youtube is one of the biggest video sharing websites in which users can view, upload, and share their videos. You will be suprised what you'll see on it sometimes. However there's one person who I would like to throw some shine on for his farcical acts of comedy. He goes by Bee318ti and if you're ever going through something, have an open sense of humor, and could use a good laugh then his channel has numerous videos that will keep you entertained with laughter. I've been watching them for three days now and I'm captivated. lol Aside from being a funny man he is very social and energetic so whatever you do: Myspace, Twitter, or Facebook you can catch him on either. ( I've actually been twitting him and he is very friendly and social and responds to his followers etc.) I'm sure he's been told a million times that he needs to be a comedian on a show some where but you check him out for yourself and tell him what you think.
Psychic Readings !!!
So yesterday after seeing my friend off to college I decided to head out to the boardwalk with my two friends and my little sister. As we were walking and we came across the psychic reading stand, my friend decided to get her palms read. So I'm like here we go, lol because growing up in a Christian home we do not acknowledge those things it was considered "worldly and unrighteous" or whatever. So I'm sitting in the pyschic stand, in complete refusal to have my palm read. And out of the midnight sky I was overcome with a strong beam of curiosity. So I figured "Hey what the heck?" So I go into the booth and she lays my hand down. She begins to tell me how I'm a very skeptical girl, and that experiences from my past have made me that way so I have to see things in order to believe them. She also told me she sees a long healthy life. At this point I'm still in between whether or not I'm buying this. Then she told me I'm a perfectionist. Which indeed is true. She told me I'm a hard worker and that I work hard for the things I have. True. She inquired that I was single, but that I had been in a long relationship of the past. I'm like...okay you got that lady. She told me that he's going to come back to me in the fall of November. Whoa..Spooky. She told me that sometimes I am too agressive and when he needs me the most I always push him away. At this point I'm like shit! Great going lady your pushing the "off limits" buttons. She told me he wants to be at his best for me but I never give him a chance to prove himself and that next time I shouldn't push him away. Then she went on to tell me that I am going to have a successful future that when she looks at me she sees the word success. She told me that she sees an alter ego inside of me that pushes me to become a evil bitch under certain circumstances. I'm like damn. She said when people push my buttons I break theirs, and that maybe I shouldn't let that side of me prevail because I am too much of a sweet and wonderful person. Afterwards I was in shock. I mean she had it she knew what she was talking about but there are some things that she saw in my future that I am going to adjust. And I think we all know what that is =). There is no NEXT TiME**

What's All the Fuss About?!?
So recently there has been a lot of speculation going around regarding Mariah Carey and Eminem. Apparently Mariah's latest hit "Obsessed" was a dis to Slim Shady who quickly responded in a very inappropriate and volgar music response titled "The Warning". Some of his lyrics include him threating to leak intimate and personal photos of him and Mariah and voicemails between the two. He goes on in the verses quoting:
"B***h, shut the f**k up before I put all them phone calls out you made to my house.
"Better shut your lying mouth if you don't want Nick finding out. You probably think since it's been so long if I had something on you I woulda did it by now.
"On the contrary, Mary Poppins, I'm mixing our studio session down and sending it to mastering to make it loud. Enough dirt on you to murder you.
Mariah, it ever occur to you that I still have pictures?
"Call my bluff and I'll release every f***ing thing I got including the voicemails right before you flipped your top."
He goes on to describe intimate details about their sexual exploits, mentions her by name several times and brands her a "w***e" and "alcoholic
So after watching Mariah's "Obsessed" video I must admit I loved the track she looked good in the video, despite how much she denied it, it was clear to see who she depicted in the video. However after listening to Em's joint I was speechless. He definately responded with the style that would attract the attention of all his listeners ears. I thought I would be mad after hearing his lyrics, but afterwards I chuckled. He made it clear to Mariah not to get on his bad side..welp ladies &&' gents I'm stuck. Who do you think was wrong? Should Eminem have responded so harsh? Did Mariah deserve it? Tell me what you think!!!

August Fourth.
Finally!! I'm employed again. I had a job interview today with Walmart and they hired me on the spot. This is especially exciting for me because as you recall in my first blog a job was truly a major issue on my needs list. I just really need to start becomming more financially independent again and hopefully with this job I can. I will be working as a cashier starting off at $10.00 and hour. Thats a big increase compared to my other jobs in the past and compared to what my peers are making as well. SO I am in a better mood, I think I can breathe a little. lol. So my next big move from here is working on car. Once I have that I will be comfortably stabled with everything. =)
Oh yeah and a great big thanks to Neyo. He just had to make that song "Part of the List" or whatever its called and as I was driving home from school today I damn near had a little moment. I mean I miss my ex but I DO NOT miss the drama and headache that came with him. I mean aside from the fact that I get a little lonely sometimes I am more comfortable because I don't have to worry about him. So yeah don't get me wrong I like the song and undoubtedly Neyo is THE BOMB..But right now I'm fooling with Ryan Leslie..He has what I need to be listening to. And then some<3 lol

My Addiction<3
Welp Ladies &&' Gentlemen I think I'm in love !!
It's actually kind've ironic I wasn't as enthusiastic about him when he first debuted and now I'm infatuated with not only him but his music !! His voice is uncanny as well as his style. I haven't been seeing much of this talent lately and if he keeps it up at this rate he'll have me "in love" forever lol.
I love you R. Les<3 =)
Movie Review: Funny People
So after watching this movie I was stuck in between emotions on how I felt about it. Needless to say Adam Sandler has done finer and funnier pieces and in all honesty, the jokes weren't even that funny. I wouldn't suggest this movie to anyone who has a weak sense of humor like my friend who thought the entire movie was stupid. lol I got a few laughs in but I expected "hysterical laughter" I mean after all the movie is called FUNNY PEOPLE. I don't know, tell me what you think.

Rocsi?? Anorexic??
So this had to be the most beautiful thing I've seen this week Rocsi Diaz, Co Host of BET's 106 &&' Park speaking out about how she use to be anorexic. I have been on the show quite a few times, I've met her and she is such a sweet spirited person. I think her comming out and talking about her sickness was a way to inspire young girls who fall under the media's pressure of having the ideal body. Being a full figured young lady it is hard and sometimes we are shifted towards the stereotype of feeling uncomfortable about ourselves. This one really touched me and I thank Ms. Rocsi Diaz for sharing it with us!!!
To You Forever, From Me to You_
So it's pretty much been forever, but I'm gonna give this whole blogging thing a second try. I always get dry when it comes to expressing my thoughts through blogging but the only way I'll get better is if I keep praticing correct? Welp here it goes : Summer 09 thus far for me has been eventful. Maybe a little more eventful than I would have liked it to be. Me and my ex broke up and this time it was indeed chaotic. He started dating a new girl and I don't think I was prepared for that. A girl that too many of us was familiar with. To make a long story short I've come to my senses to fully accept the fact that some things aren't meant to be. Am I better? A little but the healing process does take much time. Then college summmer courses started for me and I must admit it helped take my mind off a few problems at home. I was delighted to find that college would come with no cost to me on behalf of the financial aid &&' grants I received. However I am still facing a few obstacles that I will hopefully soon overcome. My current priority right now is finding a job. I haven't been employed since May and it's seriously starting to effect me. I mean it's not like I'm sitting at home doing absolutely nothing, I'm applying to places but let's face it : The economy sucks and no one is really hiring. But soon enough I know that something favorable will happen for me though. Anyway aside from that the number one thing on my needs list is a car. I'm getting really beleaguered about using my father's SUV everyday for school. But all is well ;-). That is an over all over all about the "issues" I've faced, but now I must talk about the good. This summer me and my two friends (Biahshe and Scott) have become emphatically closer than we have ever before. Throughout the enitire ordeal of my breakup they have supported me and helped me grow. We call oursleves the three musketeers its actually quite fun when ever I am with them. However Biahshe, is moving to Alabama to start school and I can't imagine how different it will be without her :'(. I have a week left with her and its going to be one emotional farewell when she leaves. Another thing I've come to realize is how many friends you lose after highschool but we'll talk about that in another blog. lol. So I think I have accurately summarized my summer of 2009. Did I leave anything out? Of course I did. They will unveil themsleves in blogs to follow. =) I promise lol
